The dark wood is African Shedua, The light wood that forms the Celtic Knot is Ficus, form a local tree that was removed because it was picking up someone's front yard (Ficus do that - don't plant one close to a house or a wall. They get huge.)
The piece stands about 7" tall, and is about 1" in diameter at its narrowest point.
I've shown this to dozens of people, lately. And they almost invariably ask, "What do you put in it?" My answer, invariably, is, "You buy it. You put whatever you want in it. For me, it's a piece of art, for staring at, lovingly."
